Q: The game crashes! What's the deal?!

Ah, the perils of Beta software. There are definitely bugs, and the game was only tested on our personal setups. Email us at euclideancrisis at gmail.com if you encounter problems. Or better yet, post the bug on our forums. We can’t guarantee we’ll fix it, but if we find time we’ll try.

UPDATE:
Some people have reported problems running the game. If you're one of those people, we suggest you try installing the dependencies individually. You can find links to them on our Download page.

Q: I can’t figure out how to launch a game. How do I play this darn thing?

Check out our How To Play guide.

Q: Can I play the game over the Internet?

Possibly, if both ends are on fast connections. However, the game was designed for play over a LAN. And anyway, it’s more fun to be in the same room as your friend when you p0wn them with a well-timed Smart Bomb strike.

Q: I have no friends. How do I play in single-player mode?

You need to start a Dedicated Server and host a game as if you were starting a multi-player game. The main difference is that you'll add AI players instead of waiting for other players to join the game. See our How To Play guide.

Q: I don’t have a Tablet PC. Can I still play the game?

Yes! The game supports mouse input, so you can play on a regular desktop or laptop. However, the game was designed for the stylus, so you might be at a competitive disadvantage.

Q: Do I have to use the voice commands in order to play the game?

No. Any voice-driven command can also be given by using the buttons and menus at the top of the screen. However, some players find the multimodal input more efficient, especially for setting formations.

Q: Is the game still under development?

Not right now. In an ideal world, however, we’d like to add more features, more maps, better network code, more advanced AI, post-game stats and awards, and better UI for starting and joining games.

Q: Is the source code available?

We’re thinking about it. Keep checking back with us.

Q: I love the music! Who did the soundtrack?

The tracks are by Ochre and David Ellesmere. Check out our music page for more information.

Q: Is the large touchscreen wall experience really that different than the tablet experience?

Yes, at least that's what some preliminary research suggests.

Q: Is Henry Bridge really that good at Euclidean Crisis?

Yes.
