That’s the first ten minutes, then what?
I got plane tickets today to go visit Joanna in early August. Isn’t that exciting? Yes, exactly 30 days from now. I’m not normally one for counting days, my preferred unit of time measurement is weeks. But days are so short, and weeks are so long. I’m quite sure that I will be ready for a break from my summer routine of Work -> Sleep -> Work -> Sleep -> Work.
Well, it’s not so bad as that. I do get out a little bit, but the amount of socializing that is done during summer break is very small relative to being at school. I went to Boomer’s for hot wings (a Wednesday ritual) with Mike, Adam, Emily, and Nicole. That’s always fun. We talked about monkey prostitution, why golf {is, is not} a sport, and get rich quick schemes involving online gambling (watch this space
). Tonight my friend Arielle is coming over to tell us all about her cross-country travel plans. She has a VW bus that she is going to drive westwards in August. My parents have done the cross country thing something on the order of 20 times, so they thought they could help her plan it out.
Other than that, I noticed today that my blog passed the 1000 hit milestone. I thought of posting a picture of a hitman and playing it up until I decided that would be tacky. Still not sure who is actually browsing my blog. I mean, I thought the Gandalf road sign pic yesterday was probably entertaining enough to make a visit worthwhile, but that is a higher quality of content than I generally pump out here.
Work continues on my roguelike game, Witherwyn. In fact, it is approaching the point where it will become somewhat playable. It’s taking a long time to get the basics working because I want the framework to be as extensible as possible.
