Well, theres this glitch withthe catalog where random things will appear (meshes from the mesh page, ect). This is VERY rare and about a 1:10,000 chance. She just got lucky.

Pressing CTRL+ENTER in correct places can make it dissappear after a bit.
Example:

That’d get rid of the background after a certain part, most likely around the “How”.

now about the finding the textures, meshs, and such. For some reason, whenever a hat is made, within the first 15 seconds, the mesh and texture will pop up in the decals section in recently updated.
