Last Friday was pretty surreal. I saw the Dali Lama at nine in the morning with my sister. I’m not exactly sure why Stanford is a destination for the Dali Lama, but it was interesting to hear him talk. His wisdom was mostly of the common sense variety, however common sense sounds much better when the Dali Lama is offering it, I think. Then Friday evening I went to play laser tag with Joanna and her dorm, which I had never done before. All in all it was pretty fun, except I would have rather played with just Naranja people, instead there were a couple of random kids around who played laser tag all the time and pwned us. As in almost any FPS, the best strategy seemed to be to camp and snipe people, which is something I eventually caught on to. Then in the evening Doug and I hosted a mafia game and at least 15 people showed up, including such luminaries as Sara Wampler and Patrick Young. I love playing mafia, and I think everyone had a good time because we stayed up playing until four in the morning. The only blight on the evening is when my roomie stabbed me in the face on the first day within two minutes of the game starting and I was the sheriff.
I’ll apologize to Wampler if she didn’t quite get to check all the items off her list that she had wanted to. I guess that a wild fling with Other Guy just wasn’t meant to be.
I’m hosting mafia pictures/movies for a limited time! Get them here
